The expansion in 1981 brought students together for grades primary to grade ten. This expansion brought Grade 7-10 students back to the community after being transported to Windsor Regional High School. Today, the school continues to house students from pre-primary to grade nine. The students are then bussed to high school (grades ten, eleven and twelve) to attend Avon View High School in the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education.
Uniacke District School's physical plant consists of 28 classrooms, a library, one music room, one cafeteria/small gymnasium, a large gymnasium, a wood-shop, drafting lab, a family studies lab, a computer/tech lab and supporting offices for staff. Over the years, playgrounds, a soccer field, softball field, outdoor classroom and an outdoor basketball court have been developed for the enjoyment of the school and community in their play and recreational pursuits.
